| مسد | مسد 111:5 'م س د' وتَدُورُ حَوْلَ: - الْجَدْلِ والطَّىِّ : فَالْمَسَدُ هُوَ اللِّيفُ قَالَ تَعَالَى (فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِنْ مَسَدٍ) وكَذَلِكَ هُوَ الْحَبْلُ الْمَضْفُورُ الْمُحْكَمُ الْفَتْلِ وكَذَلِكَ الْمِحْوَرُ الْحَدِيدِىُّ الذِي تَدُورُ عَلَيْهِ الْبَكَرَةُ والْجَمْعُ مِسَادٌ وأَمْسَادٌ. مَسَدَ فِي السَّيْرِ يَمْسُدُ مَسْدًا أَىْ جَدَّ ودَأَبَ ومَسَدَ الْحَبْلَ أَىْ أَجَادَ فَتْلَهُ ومَسَدَ الْبَقْلُ الْحَيَوَانَ أَىْ أَضْمَرَهُ ومُسِدَ الْبَطْنُ أَىْ كَانَ لَيِّنًا لَطِيفًا مُسْتَوِيًا لَا قُبْحَ فِيهِ فَهُوَ مَمْسُودٌ وسَاقٌ مَسْدَاءُ أَىْ مُسْتَوِيَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ ورَجُلٌ مَمْسُودٌ أَىْ مَجْدُولُ الْخَلْقِ وامْرَأَةٌ مَمْسُودَةٌ أَىْ مَمْشُوقَةٌ. انظر معجم المعاني لكلمة: مسد To twist a rope, twist a thing well, pursue or journey laboriously or with energy, hold on or continue a journey, render (person or animal) lean/lank/light of flesh/slender, render one lank in the belly, also to render it firm, tall and slender, of goodly stature, compact of make (applied to a woman).
